Friends@50+ meets at the salvation Army Hall in Westow Street every Tuesdays from 2 – 4 p.m.
Friends@50+ is a community group that offers friendship and fun to everyone in the local area. Each week we start with a cup of tea and a slice of cake and chat. This is followed by a different activity each time, sometimes we have a guest speaker, occasionally a quiz. We have had creative activities, occasional meals together and day trips to the seaside and other attractions.
People come to this group from a variety of backgrounds and although it is run by Crystal Palace Community Church there is no requirement to be a Church go-er to attend these meetings as it is something we put on for the community and many of our members do not go to church or go to different Churches. It is free to attend though there is a suggested donation of 50p. Why not come along, you may meet a new friend?
