Healing Ministry
Chas and Barry are launching a new initiative and reviving a previous one.
The new initiative is a
Healing Room. This will be a place for people who want prayer ministry for healing to come an be 'soaked in prayer' for healing. It is open to Christians and not - yet Christians. If you would like to receive prayer in this way please speak to Chas to book an appointment.
The revived initiative is brief prayer ministry at the end of the service. A team will be developed to provide this on a rota basis each Sunday.
If you would like to be a part of this ministry please see Chas to discuss this. Thanks.
Salvation relates to healing in every part of our being, mind, soul and body. In Crystal Palace Community Church we take seriously the command to 'pray for the sick' in each of these areas and so we offer the following ways for people to recieve prayer:
1. There is always an opportunity for people to recieve prayer for healing or other areas of need after our regular Sunday service.
2. Those who request it can also recieve 'soaking prayer' for healing. Often it is good to meet to pray a few times rather than a one off as many healings are a process.
3. We also encourage and reccomend people to go on a healing weekend or similar break at the various Christian Healing centres around the UK.
Although it is our desire to see everyone healed, we realise this is not yet a reality. The reason for this is that although God's Kingdom has arrived through Jesus, it is not yet here fully until he returns to reign. We live in an inbetween stage where we do see some healings, but we do not yet see everything yet as God wants it. It is our goal therefore, not only to pray for healing, but also to support people who are not yet healed with support, care and sensitivitiy in their suffering.
Whilst developing a prayer ministry team, we also recognise that healing is not a ministry for 'the gifted few', but for the whole body of Christ. Therefore we also have times in the church when we all pray for one another and resist realying on the ministry team on every occasion.
Spiritual refreshment I have personally found retreats’ a great benefit in boosting our spiritual walk with the Lord. Here are a few centers that I can personally recommend to you which offer weekend and midweek breaks with spiritual guidance of varying kinds for the individual or couples. Each one has a full list of their programs on their web sites.
